Notes: The code was compiled and tested at RSICC on an PENTIUM III 500 Mhz
       MICRON running WINDOWS NT; the executable created with the Lahey
       F77L/EM-32 V5.2 compiler was added to the package.


Electronic documentation is available in the DOC/C546DOC.PDF file
and includes NUREG/CR-6059 and NUREG/CR-4691, Volumes 1, 2, & 3.

The MACCSPC subdirectory contains all the files needed to install MACCS 
on an IBM compatible PC and execute the three sample problems to verify 
correct installation.

The MAXOTHER subdirectory contains additional files needed to install MACCS 
on VAX/VMS, IBM RS/6000, Sun SPARC, and Cray UNICOS computer systems in 
addition to UPDATE format source input for generating a program library.
