DESCRIPTION
************************************************************************
Extracting files from C467TAR2.TAR will create an "its" subdirectory for
Linux users. See its/readme.linux for instructions on installing and
running ITS on a LINUX machine. To extract the files type
tar xvf c467tar2.tar
The following directories and files will be extracted:
-rw-r----- 13895 Nov 17 10:39 README.LINUX installation instructions
drwxr-s--- 4096 Jun 13 11:53 xgen XGEN source, input, output
drwxr-s--- 4096 Jun 13 11:39 upeml UPEML source, input, output

Linux executables are included in the package. RSICC compiled the LINUX
version on an AMD Athlon under RedHat Linux 7.3 with GNU Fortran 0.5.26
& gcc 2.96.

The ITS3 code system was first released by Sandia National Lab
in 1992. No changes have been made to the Unix codes since then.
However, the Unix package was reorganized in October 2002.
At that time, the ITS3 codes were compiled and executabes were
created on an IBM RS/6000 under AIX 4.3.3 with XL Fortran V6.1
using the xlf command.
In 1992, the Unix version was run on Cray computers under UNICOS,
on IBM under MVS, and on Vax under VMS, on IBM RISC 6000 under AIX,
and on Sun under SunOS. No executables are included for Unix computers.
The Unix release was previously distributed with RSICC ID C00467MFMWS00.
No changes were made to either package when the Unix and PC packages
were merged together in NOvember 1999.
In October 2002, the Windows version of ITS3 was updated with executables
created with Lahey F90 and Lahey F95 compilers. These executables were
tested under WindowsXP Service Packs (SP) 1 & 2 and Windows2000 SP 3 & 4.

See README.AIX in the Unix distribution for a guide to compiling
and running on IBM RS/6000.
tar xf C467TAR1.TAR
Extracting from the tar file will create the following files
in its3_unix and its3_unix/ibm_test.
