     NOTE:  Approximately 8 MB of disk space is required to store
            uncompressed files.
     NOTE:  The AMPX-77 system runs on IBM/MVS and Cray/UNICOS
            systems.  The source files distributed on diskettes are
            configured to run on IBM.
            The source files distributed in tar format are configured
            to run on Cray.
  ********  All users must review README.GEN, which includes general
            information on the system and brief installation information,
            including instructions for processing source files to run
            on Cray computers.
            README.CRA includes additional instructions for Cray users.
  ********  The source files are written in FORTRAN 77 and were compiled
            under OS/VS2 using the IBM VS compiler (Level 2.2.0) and
            Assembler level H on an IBM 3090 computer.
            The system has been installed and tested on a CRAY-XMP
            running UNICOS, Version 6 using the CFT77 compiler, version 4.

            To read the tar tape:
            1.  tar -xvf /dev/nrst0 psr315t1
            2.  uncompress psr315t1             (May use '*')
            3.  tar -xvf psr315t1
            Subdirectories will be created and correspond to those
            named in README.CRA.
            Use the following command to skip to other files on the tape.
            mt -f /dev/nrst0 fsf 1  (where 1 is number of files to skip.)
